The coupler buffer device is composed of coupler, buffer (draft gear), coupler yoke, coupler yoke pin, impact seat, slave plate and other parts. The front slave plate, buffer and rear slave plate are installed in the coupler yoke in turn. The coupler and coupler yoke are connected as a whole with the help of coupler yoke pin. In a word, the coupler buffer has three functions: coupling, traction and buffer.
In the coupler buffer device, the coupler is to realize the coupling between locomotive and vehicle or between vehicles and transfer traction and impact force, and to make vehicle to keep a certain distance between vehicles.
