Brief introduction:
All the railway freight wagons in China are air brake. The brake force is generated by air compressor. Air reservior is a high pressure air tank to store the compressed air from the compressor. Wherever needs compressed air, there will install air reservior. Normally based on the different functions in the air brake system the air reserviors could be classified as main air reservior, auxilary air reservior, release air reservior, working air reservior, etc. Each wagon requires 2 or 3 air reserviors.

Structure & manufacture process:
Air reservoir is hung below railway vehicle’s under frame by its lifting lug, and fastened with bolts. Air reservoir is mainly composed of tank body, end cover, flange, lifting lug, pipe joint, ad assembled and welded by stainless steel or aluminum alloy. The manufacturing process of air reservoir is as follows:
Tank body rounding - oil painting, cylinder alignment - longitudinal seam welding of tank body - assembly of tank head - circumferential seam welding - weld grinding - welding accessories - assembly lifting lugs - welding lifting lugs - air and water pressure test
